Job Summary: The Clinical Program Manager is responsible for the coordination and management of all client specific clinical program recommendations. This includes drug formulary, UM programs, benefit design st! rategies, and other drug therapy related products and services offered by Prime. This role is intended to promote and recommend Prime standard recommendations and provide consultative support in manner that fosters strong relationships with key clinical stakeholders within each client. Responsibilities: Provide consultation and recommendations to the client regarding: Prime standard clinical program opportunities Formulary recommendations Benefit design recommendations Other research applications and opportunities beneficial or of interest to the plan. Coordinate formulary management for the client including: Client specific P&T or business committee decision making and implementation Maintenance and distribution of formulary publications Maintenance of formulary information in all provider and member materials and communications (ie Web) Develop, maintain and update at least quarterly a clinical management plan for the client. Work in cooperation with the account managemen! t team to provide benefit design and clinical program consulta! tion and recommendations to the client and groups. Coordinate information analysis and reporting of drug utilization for the client and groups. Oversee and coordinate calls and requests for information from the plan regarding drug therapy, formulary and clinical program related issues. Represent Prime Therapeutics on the client's internal committees addressing drug therapy and pharmacy benefit management issues. Coordinate and lead client specific clinical pharmacy programs for the client Develop and maintain the Clinical portions of internal and external client planning documents. Coordinate UM program implementations along with the UM program implementation specialist. Coordinate client specific formulary management services along with Prime's formulary development manager: Plan the P&T agenda and client recommendations in conjunction with the client and other Prime personnel. Maintain formulary information in all provider and member materials and communications. Oversee ! maintenance and distribution of formulary publications and communications. Establish a relationship with the client's clinical stakeholders. This includes representing Prime on the client's internal committees addressing medical and clinical pharmacy related issues. Address questions or issues that arise as they relate to drug therapy or the client's formulary. Coordinate efforts with Manufacturer Relations when developing programs and relationships with pharmaceutical companies. Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: PharmD or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree 2+ years experience in managed care or clinical pharmacy Current pharmacist license in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy Preferred Qualifications: Works diligently to understand external and internal customer's needs Takes initiative to understand how Prime operates Shares industry knowledge and business knowledge with team members and others throughout the organization Ability to critically analyze! , synthesize and manage complex information to develop well-reasoned so! lutions that solve client's problems Works effectively across functions, disciplines and/or other groups
