As the Clinical Pharmacist, you will have primary responsibility in the area of prior authorization, including utilization review and benefit manageme! nt.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support for prior authorization
Support the development of strategic initiatives to help position the organization favorably in the market environment
Serve as a clinical benefit management resource to medical directors, including in preparation for peer-to-peer discussions
Assist manager in identifying operational issues that could result in the delay of determinations
Serves as a key resource to technician staff on complex and/or critical issues.
Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions.
This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week with a flex schedule within business hours Monday - Friday

Requirements
Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of KS
3+ years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
Demonstrated strong problem solving skills including the ability to systematically analyze problems, draw relevant conclusions and de! vise appropriate courses of action
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information from others
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Medicaid, Long Term Care and/or State Waiver experience
Experience in a Managed Care environment
Experience with Pharmacy Utilization Review/Prior Authorization
