More details about this job opportunity kindly see the descriptions. The Manager Fulfillment Pharmacy Operations will be responsible for management within the Overland Park Fulfillment Pharmacy. The position will oversee all pharmacists, and potentially other! positions (as assigned), in order to lead Dispensing of Specialty and traditional Mail prescriptions. There will be 3-5 subordinates reporting into this leader with approximately 80-110 indirect reports. In addition, this Manager will be the Pharmacist-in-Charge in OptumRx’s flagship pharmacy in Overland Park, KS
This manager will be addressing issues with the production line and fulfillment operations that are clinical and require pharmacist oversight. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience focusing on workforce and workload management for their staff and appropriately prioritizing tasks. Additionally, they will need to determine exact staffing requirements for their team and ensure effective scheduling. This individual will ultimately be accountable for fulfillment pharmacy staff fully adhering to tight timelines, including optimal handling of peak workflows, timely and accurate dispensing throughput and also accommodate some flexibility in ! their own work schedule when it becomes necessary. The Manager! will be required to do performance reviews, etc. with their direct reports as well as interviewing and hiring new staff. Other projects/ assignments as deemed necessary.
Requirements
- BS Pharmacy required, Pharm D degree preferred.
- Current, unrestricted pharmacist licensure in Kansas required.
- 5 or more years Pharmacist experience required.
- 1 to 3 years of supervisory, leadership or management experience required.
- Mail service experience is highly preferred.
- Experience successfully managing work to tight deadlines is required.
- Ability to be flexible with work schedule may be necessary on occasion.
