Pharmacist Spec Drug Information( Job Number: 00323-9733) Work Location: United States-Kansas-Wichita-Wesley Medical Center Schedule: Full-time Description Takes a le! adership role within the pharmacy and the hospital to develop and maintain state-of-the-art clinical pharmacy services within adult medicine. Leadership is demonstrated through example, program development, presentations to other professionals, medication use evaluations and analysis, and provision of high-level clinical services to patients and health care providers. Under general supervision of a Pharmacy Manager, is responsible for directly overseeing and participating in all aspects of the hospital medication use system. Must take personal responsibility and accountability for patient medication-related outcomes.
Should represent themselves, the pharmacy department, and the medical center in a positive and courteous manner, assisting all customers promptly. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Pharmacy services are provided 24 hours a day/seven days a we! ek. Schedule may vary according to the needs of the medical ce! nter/department and may include weekend, shift, holiday, on-call, and additional hours.
Qualifications Required Registration, Licensure or Certification Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Kansas Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course, as specified Preferred Registration, Licensure or Certification Board Certified as Pharmacotherapy specialist or other recognized specialty area Registered as a preceptor with the Kansas Board of Pharmacy Completion of a recognized anticoagulation service program training experience Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) verification course, as specified Required Education or Experience Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) General practice residency (PGY1) Preferred Education or Experience Specialty residency training (PGY2) Specialty fellowship training Three years of clinical experience in adult medicine pharmacy Required Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively! Knowledge of State and Federal laws, TJC, and professional practice
