We currently have an opening for a Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator.
- Coordinates timely medication order processing and drug distribution from the generation of the medication order until the administration of the medication.
- Supervises the compounding of, dispensing of, and record keeping related to medications for all patients.
- Strives to remove barriers in achieving excellent pharmaceutical care by participating in organizational and departmental performance improvement efforts and facilitating effective communication relative to these initiatives.
- Works to strengthen existing systems, processes, policies and procedures by introducing new ideas that lead to improved patient care and in the pharmacy department.
- Develops quality assurance and medication use criteria for med! ications and pharmacy activities and performs regular audits.
- Participates in the formulary management process and medication incident reporting, tracking, follow-up and prevention.
- Collects and analyzes data and collaborates to implement needed improvements and monitor results.
- Precepts Pharmacy Interns and reviews the work of Clinical Pharmacy Interns.
- Participates in the orientation and education of pharmacy employees, nurses, other health care providers and students.
- Conducts and supervises PharmD student rotations.
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree or Master of Science with a clinical focus.
- Completion of an accredited pharmacy residency and organized hospital pharmacy practice experience under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Kansas within 4 months of employment.
- 3 years of clinical pharmacy experience or pharmacy practice residency experience.
- Excellen! t communication skills and computer skills - Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
