The University of Kansas, School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice is seeking faculty for its program in Wichita, KS. The Department invites applications from! practitioners in all areas of pharmacy, but in particular, those with an interest and expertise in community and/or ambulatory care practice and rural health issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for augmenting established clinical pharmacy services within a School of Pharmacy affiliated Federally Qualified Health Center Outpatient Clinic or Family Medicine Resident Clinic affiliated with the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita Family Medicine Residency Program, working with a School of Pharmacy affiliated community partner to develop and direct a PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency Program, teaching in the didactic and experiential pharmacy practice curriculum and contributing to the mission and goals of the Department and School in each of the areas of scholarship, service and research.
Required Qualifications
A terminal degree (PharmD or equivalent) in their field and a display of excellence in communication skills.
Th! e completion of advanced training through a community or ambul! atory care residency program.
Licensure as a pharmacist with the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of date of hire is required.

40% Teaching: The position will be responsible for the coordination, instruction, and completion of didactic courses in the Pharmacy School curriculum for the Pharm.D. program and serve as a preceptor for pharmacy residents and pharmacy students on experiential rotations. 20% Clinical Practice: Provide direct patient care and develop a solid working relationship with the clinic medical team and faculty colleagues at a School of Pharmacy affiliated Federally Qualifie! d Health Center Outpatient Clinic or Family Medicine Resident Clinics affiliated with the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita Family Medicine Residency Program, and contribute to the clinic?s compliance with National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Standards relating to Medication Management.

20% Development/Directorship of Community Residency Program and local Experiential Education Oversight and Support: The position will be required to work with a School of Pharmacy affiliated community partner to develop, direct and facilitate the accreditation of a PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency Program focusing on wellness initiatives and the provision of clinical pharmacy services in the community setting and the expansion of such services to affiliated community practice sites across rural Kansas. The successful applicant will also be responsible for working with t! he Assistant Dean for Experiential Education to provide clinical and ad! ministrative oversight of School of Pharmacy affiliated experiential practice sites in the Wichita and surrounding rural communities.

10% Service: The position will support the Profession, University, School of Pharmacy, and Department through involvement and leadership roles with various committees and organizations such as serving on or chairing University, School of Pharmacy and Department committees, holding elected positions in professional organizations, and serving on local, state and national professional organization committees. Other responsibilities may involve serving as an adviser for pharmacy student organizations within the School and refereeing for journals, professional association meeting materials, and/or granting agencies. Lastly, clinical track positions shall serve their communities as a valued health care professional and citizen by providing commu! nity education and professional lectures.
