Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Participates in the pharmaceutical care of patients, newborn through geriatric.
- Provides drug information as requested and investigates/documents any clinical intervention.
- Provides for the general supervision of pharmacy technicians.
- Checks the accuracy of all medications prepared by the pharmacy technician prior to dispensing.
- Completes, checks, signs designated areas of paperwork required by law for policy.
- Participates in training and staff development.
- Maintains the pharmacy, equipment and storeroom in a clean, sterile manner as required.
- Submits daily orders for supplies as necessary.
- Serves a population newborn through geriatric.
- Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :
- Knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulatory policies governing pharmacies/pharmacists.
- Basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Pharmacy experience in a hospital environment.
REQUIRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Current Pharmacist license in the State of Kansas.
PREFERRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
