As a Service Sales Manager joining our Process Automation Energy Industries Business in Seoul, Korea, you will be responsible for leading, developing and coaching the Service Sales organization proactively, to exceed our sales targets through high performance continuously ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities

  • Selling the entire ABB portfolio (Automation and Electrical) of Oil & Gas (on Shore and OffShore), Power Generation and Chemical and Refinery Business Units to final customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets
  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full systems/ services offering and aligning to provide a solution
  • Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process
  • Achieving revenue and sales targets and continued market analysis
  • Creating added value for the customer and ABB and ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals by using effective sales techniques
  • Identifying opportunities of existing and potential new customers and determining plans for acquisition and resource allocation
  • Identifying and driving the development of the installed base in the market and ensuring know-how and cross-collaboration
  • Monitoring client financial status and reporting any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams
  • Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and coaching and developing the team

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree, major in Automation or Electrical Engineering or any equivalent qualification
  • 10 to 15 years of experience of leading a significant Sales & Service team
  • 8 plus years of working experience in developing service sales in Power Generation, Chemical or O&G industry
  • Proven experience in leading and developing teams
  • Experience of independently handling Cluster sales, territories and delivering sales growth and profitability
  • Strong background of ABB Automation, Excitation and Electrical portfolio would be an advantage
  • Experience in Channel Network Management & channel development
  • This role will require a high level of travel and hence the successful applicant must have willingness to travel as required.
