Description: Saint John Hospital is currently interviewing Pharmacy Technician Certified right now, this position will be placed in Kansas. More details about this position opportunity kindly see the descriptions. Position Summary:
Performs the non-clinical functions of pharmaceutical care which include automated unit dose medication distribution, preparation and delivery of sterile products, bar-coding and repackaging medication, charging and crediting of medication on patient accounts, crash cart and inventory maintenance and assisting the pharmacist to provide quality care for the patients.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education, Licensure, Certification and Experience Required.
Education & Experience:
One year of college coursework with an emphasis on mathematics & science or one year of previous pharmacy or medical related work experience.
Licensure/Certification:
Licensed or eligible for licensure with the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
Special Skills/Aptitudes :
Proficient in PC computer operation. Demonstrates the ability to use critical thinking skills as it relates to non-judgmental tasks to identify problems and opportunities for improvement. Able to interact with others using good customer service skills.
Preferred Education, Licensure, Certification and Experience Required. Certification by the Certified Pharmacy Technician ( CPT ) program or previous hospital pharmacy experience .
