POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education Bachelor's degree in pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred Residency preferred Oncology training/experience preferred Board certified in Oncology preferred Minimum Experience New graduate from accredited school of pharmacy Hospital experience preferred Required Registration/License/Certification Current Kansas phar! macist license or eligible for Kansas license
We are looki! ng for an oncology pharmacist due to expansion into an established clinic practice. This is mainly a weekday, day shift clinic position rotating to the main hospital pharmacy for several days each month including 1 of 4 weekends.
Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy Services, the oncology pharmacist will work in the oncology clinic; evaluate chemotherapy protocols; provide safe chemotherapy products; optimize patient medication therapies. The pharmacist will provide oversight of chemotherapy mixing and compliance with USP 797, OSHA, NIOSH standards, and ACCC standards. This position also practices core pharmacist responsibilities: provides prescribed medications, drug information, and overall pharmaceutical care as needed for patient care according to professional standards, laws, and practices. The pharmacist works collaboratively with pharmacy, nursing, administration and medical staff to ensure safe and cost-effective management of the medication use proce! ss.
