We serve Kansas and northeast Oklahoma through our doctors, hospitals, senior villages and health services.Position Summary: Assists Pharmacists in overall pharmacy operation. Helps coordinate pharmacy services.Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Enters new and refill prescriptions into computer.
Interacts with customers to facilitate prescription fulfillment and a positive patient experience. Maintains floor transfers, which includes filling, ordering and questions and billing. Orders floor stock. Checks in Pharmacy order.
Trouble shoots computer problems and backs-up new programs. Maintains cash drawer reconciliation. Compounds products as requ! ired. Assists with training of pharmacy technicians.
! Assists with patient billing problems. Maintains 3rd party reconciliation. Maintains reports for the Pharmacy Manager. Processes Medicare pharmacy claims.
May perform other duties as assigned or requestedJOB REQUIREMENTS: Education and/or Experience One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year previous pharmacy experience preferred, but not required Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to read and comprehend simple ! instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Must have the ability to perform multiple tasks at once. This position uses the encapsulating machine, 10-key machine, fax machine, copy machine, balances, tube sealer, multi-line phone, counting machine. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must be registered with the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy (http://www.accesskansa! s.org/pharmacy/) and Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required; OR ! must be registered with Kansas State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy intern.Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
